Torrents wont download even with lots of seeders

 · A lot of so called seeders are cheating and upping at a couple of bits per second.. i.e. really slow. I get good speeds on most torents with 5+ seeds, unless it's got anything to do with bltadwin.ru listed in the tracker details.. Those I avoid because they traffic shape real bad. Try some pr0n with a reasonable number of seeds.. as a test.  · Posted March 3, I download torrents with a lot of seeders (5k+) and they wont start. Even though I am connected to at least 9 () seeders. I've tried stopping the torrents then starting them again. I've also tried using the Update tracker option. The connection options are set up by uTorrent through the speedtest option it has.  · Some ISP’s completely block essential torrent ports (like ), making it virtually impossible for their users to seed torrents (upload). Still others prefer to block access to torrent sites themselves (like isohunt and thepiratebay).

Generally, because of my slow connection, I will get the file and then seed until the ratio is Since i've been having these slow torrent issues, i've set the upload speed to 0 so it can go as high as it wants. im still getting the horrible slow down speeds tho, even tho the upload is a constant kb (64k isdn maxes out at kb up and down). after gb of a file, it won't finish, despite lots of seeders. it's been stuck for days. as you can see in the attached screen shot, UL and DL are fine on every other torrent, so it's not the network etc. This issue is revolved by restarting the application. In my case, it won't close properly either, so I force kill it. After restarting, it will download the metadata. After some time, any new torrent will be stuck at the metadata stage again, and so one has to keep restarting it. I don't know any better solution.

Answer: Find torrents from sites which are popular Make sure you update the seed/peer realtime info or see when it was uploaded. Use site like torrent cloud to download files Download torrent like from their official website and not from sites which offer free download Make sure to disable y. Some ISP’s completely block essential torrent ports (like ), making it virtually impossible for their users to seed torrents (upload). Still others prefer to block access to torrent sites themselves (like isohunt and thepiratebay). 1) The torrents do not seem to have fake seed/peer count because the exact same torrents download without issue on Windows XP (which is installed on the same machine), and the issue is only with Windows Even magnet links for the same torrents are working without issues on Windows XP.
